通俗心理学
通俗心理学（つうぞくしんりがく） もしくは ポピュラー心理学（英: Popular psychology）は、大衆の間でもてはやされるような心理学のような説を指して、「通俗心理学では」のように言われる、表現の一種である。独立した学問を指しているわけではない。
通俗心理学という用語は、心理学者であると広く認識されている作家、コンサルタント、講演者およびエンタテイナーについて記述するために使われることがある。それは学術的な資格によるものではなく、彼らがそのようなイメージを意図したか、あるいは、彼らの業績に応じてそのように認識されていたことによるものである。
また、この「通俗心理学」という用語は、通俗心理学業界を指すとき、人間行動についての日々の情報源が広がっていくネットワークを表すのに使われることがある。
この用語はしばしば、心理学の概念を説明するのに簡略化しすぎたり、時代遅れであったり、証明されていなかったり、誤解されていたり、あるいは誤解していたりするように見えることに対して非難の意を込めて使われることがある。
しかし、この用語はまた、専門的に生み出された心理学の知識を記述するためにも使われる。
多くの専門家によって妥当であり効果的であると見なされて、一般大衆によって使われることを意図する場合である[1]。

種類
通俗心理学は、次のような表現形態をとっている。

- 心理学としてはバイアスがかかっている懸念があるが日常用語としては専門用語よりも頻繁に見受けられる用語法[3]

春日武彦は、『宝島30』において通俗心理学の中で雑誌に掲載されている種類のものについて解説した。春日は次のような種類があるとした。
フローチャートを用いて性格類型を決めるもの- 何らかのストーリーや状況設定を提示し、それに対する回答によって「あなたの深層心理」を指摘するもの
- 他人のなにげない言動やそぶりから心を見抜く方法を伝授するマニュアル型のもの
- 選択肢式質問を列挙し各選択肢により決まる点数の合計を根拠に分類するもの。
そして春日は、それぞれの種類の欠点・問題点についても言及し、また自分自身がそうしたものの作成者となったときの様々な体験談を紹介した[5]。
