ボドルム（Bodrum） は、トルコ共和国の港湾都市。ムーラ県に属する。かつての古代都市ハリカルナッソス (en:Halicarnassus) 。現在はリゾート地としても栄えている。また近くの海から紀元前4世紀の青銅の女神デメテルの像が発見され、その後30隻以上の沈没船が発見されている。

歴史




  • 紀元前11世紀、ギリシャにより占領


  • 紀元前484年、ヘロドトスが誕生


  • 紀元前353年、アケメネス朝ペルシャの サトラップ（知事）・カリア統治者 (紀元前377 - 353/352年 在任)のマウソロス が亡くなると、妻のアルテミシア2世は、古代ギリシャの建築家（Satyros, Pithios）、4人の彫刻家（Bryaxis, Scopas, Leochares, Timotheus）を雇い、王の霊廟を建設。マウソロス霊廟は古代世界7不思議の一つに列挙され、マウソレウム（mausoleum, 日本語：廟）の起源となる




  • 1404年、聖ペテロ城が建設

  • 以降 ペトロニウムとして知られる


  • 1522年、スレイマン1世（オスマン帝国第1代君主）はペトロニウムを占領
